NEWS FOR WEDNESDAY 29^th DECEMBER Urban Ops Greg 6:11pm (UK time)
The February 2000 Issue of the AmericanPC Gamer features new information about the Rogue Spear Mission Pack: Urban Operations. Here's some of that info now:
-Urban Ops will now have Proximity mines for multiplayer as well as single player.

- It will have medium machine guns included in your arsenal.
- Urban Ops will have a mission generator to further extend the game.
- Terrorists will have the ability to throw gernades.

NEWS FOR TUESDAY 28^th DECEMBER RS Voice Mod Greg 5:56pm (UK time)

A Rainbow Voice Mod is in the works for both Rainbow Six and Rogue Spear. Instead of the same generic English voices being used for every character, you will have a set of voice files with authentic accents from each character's respective country. Louis Loiselle and Kazimiera Rakuzanka's voice-overs have already been recorded and will be ready, soon. Voice recordings for Ayana Yacoby, Antonio Maldini, and Homer Johnston are scheduled.

A coder is needed to make a patch for the game which will access the proper voice files for each character from a folder using their name or initials. Fans will be able to put their favorite voice files in each character's folder, allowing a fully customizable voice selection. A utility will also need to be made, which will allow increased customization. Suggestions for the utility's features can be submitted by fans. Artists are needed to create professional-looking graphics, for the website and for the mod/patch, such as flags from various countries, the colors of the rainbow, a mouth, an ear, "sound waves", etc.

If you were born and raised in one of the countries (and, even better, cities) shared as a homeland by one of the characters, you may volunteer to create their voice files. A tutorial will be found at the website. Some factors to be considered in the judging are: proof of homeland, background, keeping within the original voice file's time limit, realism, and faithfulness to the character's stats, personality, and printed radio communications.

All volunteers and participants will receive as much credit or anonymity as they wish and can contact uziyahu@hotmail.com. Please do NOT send any files at this time.

Gallaleo has released version 3.1 of Gallaleo's RS-Stats Here are a few features that are new in version 3.1:M
- Able to delete a group of players by choosing how many games they have played.

- Able to delete a group of players by their "Skill Points".

- You now have the option to add a comment to the HTML file that the program creates for you. (very useful for clan matches)

What is the Rogue Spear Object Editor? Well here is more:

The RSOE is a tool designed for the purpose of modifying existing QOB model files. The weapons, muzzle flashes, enviromental effects, 2D planning objects, sky boxes and more are typical QOB files.Version 0.1 of RSOE is able to load and save any Rogue Spear QOB model file and edit the vertices in full 3D. Research and testing regarding texture mapping/offsets and polygon viewing/editing is under way.

Check out the Rogue Spear Object Editor site for more info and some screenshots of edited weapons. The Rogue Spear Object Editor is still under development.

Well finally it looks like we are getting where we wanted to be with Nato3. There is still a long way to go but we have a first draft of the mod now. There will be too many additions to mention and we also would like to keep the suspense going. Rest assured that Nato3 will be a leap from Nato2. With the much friendlier engine of Rogue Spear it allowed us to add things impossible to do with previous versions of the R6 line. Currently we are working very hard to get all the ideas that we have into the mod. There is so much that this will still take some time. To make things worst I will be on a winter exercise and then going to visit my family over Christmas and New Year. However I will be back Jan 3rd and then informing you all about our progress over the holidays. As you see we are still committed to N3 and working hard on it. We all hope to breath some new life into Rogue Spear with all the additions that will make it into the mod. so for now I wish you all Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year.

Version 3.0 of Gallaleo's RogueSpear Stats has been released.
Whats new in version 3.0?

A smaller program interface has been introduced making the program much much easier to use.
You can now view all of the players stats (not just the top 10) within the program itself. You can still create you .html files the same as before, but you dont have to create them every time you want to view the players stats. You just press the "Display Player Rankings" button.
A few other things have been changed, including they way that you select what type of game that you want to Display, create .html, or edit your players stats files.

19 Days to Christmas Hud Views Greg 6:11pm (UK time)
I found this at Rogue Spear Retreat. It explains the HUD indicators when you type "debugkeys", press F10, and hit R.
- "RG" is the range to whatever is centered in the recticle (measured in centimeters). Works just like the binocular rangefinder.
- "DI" is the measurement of the space inside the recticle. At longer ranges, the number increases, and with more accurate weapons, the number decreases.
- "ZM" is the current zoom of your weapon. The default is "1".
- "LS" is unknown but is affected by how you are moving, if you're standing or crouched, and if the weapon is zoomed in.
- "CS" is unknown but is affected by zoom.
- "PC" is the accuracy of the shot. When you move, the reticule becomes unfocused and the number listed represents how unfocused it is. As it focuses again, it will eventually reach zero.
- "LUM" is how much light is in your area.
- "STRS" is the stress factor. If the person is wounded, the stress is higher. If they are incapacitated, it is very high.
- "LOCKED" = This is on by default. It means that the weapon is locked on to target and is only an issue when auto-targeting is on. If you pass the reticule over a terrorist that is alive, it will say "NOT LOCKED". Once focused on his head, it will return to the "LOCKED" message.

I was checking out the NATO site and saw this update.
I just wanted to clear up some confusion about the status of NATO 3. It is NOT out. There are some people out there who are claiming, misleading, or just confused, that they have NATO 3. I don't even have NATO 3. It's not close to done yet. The confusion seems to be caused by an unauthorized conversion of NATO 2 to Rogue Spear being listed as the 'new NATO mod'. We didn't do this conversion and even asked that the people responsible NOT to do it. Now we're not going to be jerks and ask them to remove it since people seem to be having some fun with it. However, I just wanted to try to explain what is going on here. Thanks to the folks who brought this to my attention.

The Rogue Spear Retreat has confirmed that the Amazon map from Rainbow Six is confirmed as being one of the five R6 maps being ported to the Rogue Spear engine. This map will be one of the five Rainbow6 maps included in the upcoming Urban Operations mission pack.
