New weapons added!
We've added 3 new weapons to our mod. Heckler and Koch's latest prototype SMG the HK PDW 4.6x30mm, the suppressed version of the Steyr AUG the Steyr AUG A2-SD 5.56x45mm, and the suppressed and subsonic KAC SR25K-SD .338 Whisper.

NATO 3 Status - nearing beta
We are getting close to beta testing! Please do NOT send it requests to be on the beta team. We have already selected the team and in the process of contacting them and making the proper arrangements. The press (aka fan web sites) are not included in the beta. This is a bug fix and test-type beta, not a "hype" one.

ARMM Library
ARMM has decided to not only release our mod to the public free of charge, as always, but we are going to create a kind of ARMM library for other mod makers to use our files. We all realize how difficult it is to put together high quality mods and we thought that making our work easily available to other creators it would improve the overall quality of mods for the community. Basically, all our models, ammos, bitmaps, sounds, etc. will be available for use by other mod makers, for free of course. All we will ask for is credit in the mod. We will be releasing this library after NATO 3 ships publicly. More details will follow as we iron them out.

Can't wait for the mod to be released.

Red Storm Entertainment Signs Deals With Developers for an Exciting New Series of Games

Leading publisher and game developer Red Storm Entertainment, Inc. has signed deals with Red Lemon Studios, Climax and Crawfish Interactive Ltd. to produce as yet untitled games based on BKN's series Roswell Conspiracies: Aliens, Myths & Legends. The games are scheduled for release in Q4 of 2000.

Based in Scotland, Red Lemon Studios will be developing Roswell Conspiracies: Aliens, Myths & Legends the game, for the PlayStation platform. Red Lemon introduced the property to Red Storm earlier this year. Andy Campbell, Managing Director of Red Lemon commented, "Roswell Conspiracies: Aliens, Myths & Legends as a property appeals to the kid in us as a developer. We were pleased to see Red Storm share that enthusiasm. We are very excited at the mass-market opportunities of the game, and look forward to working with Red Storm on this exciting project." Red Lemon specializes in the creation of titles for PC, PlayStation and DreamCast, and is most recently known for its release of Braveheart, published by Eidos Interactive. Climax Group, based in the United Kingdom, has signed on to develop the game for the Nintendo 64 and DreamCast platforms. Climax is an experienced and active technology developer for the DreamCast, Nintendo 64, Game Boy Color, and PlayStation platforms. Titles Climax have developed include Populous: The Beginning and Diablo for the PlayStation, Battlezone 64 for the Nintendo 64, NHL Blades of Steel '99 for the Game Boy Color. Based in London, U.K., Crawfish Interactive Ltd. will develop the game for the Game Boy Color. This company is a video games developer specializing in handheld consoles, including the Game Boy Color. To date Crawfish have produced critical and chart successes for global publishers including Red Storm Entertainment, Acclaim, Activision, Midway, Crave and GTi with many more in the pipeline. Red Storm initially announced the deal with BKN after the Electronic Entertainment Expo in May. Roswell Conspiracies: Aliens, Myths & Legends began airing on BKN, America's third broadcast kids network, on August 29, 1999, and already has a two-year air commitment. Producers of the show, which is the first full in-house production from BKN's Los Angeles-based animation studio, describe it as an X-Files for the younger set. Internationally the series has been sold to such leading broadcasters as Super RTL (Germany), BBC (UK), Mediaset (Italy) and Cartoon Network (Latin America).

Rodion Herrera's Rogue Spear website, RODSPEAR, is temporarily down due to some technical difficulties at Freakycow.com. The present URL (http://www.freakycow.com/rodenka) won't be accessable until March 1. At the moment, he is trying to transfer his files to his Geocities account so that you may access it from there. Rest assured that, if any Mission Pack for The Temporary Tango would be released, we shall post information about it here. R6 Vault is currently down for a complete redesign. However, I have set up a chat room that is now open. Users can chat live with other RS fans. The chat room is an example of the new layout and, although I need to fix the navigation buttons, looks great. Come to the R6 Vault now.

Here is a patch for The Temporary Tango to correct the non-loading Pandora's Revenge mission. It also adds a new primary weapon (a personal favorite)...the SiG (SG) 550. Details are in the README.TXT and ENHANCEMENTS_README.TXT...

The Temporary Tango is released Greg 7:55pm (UK time)
Rodion's amazing mod for Rogue Spear, The Temporary Tango, has just been released. This modification, which doesn't overwrite any original Rogue Spear files, allows you to play as a team of terrorists in Rogue Spear, instead of as Rainbow. You can choose from 12 tango skins, and your terrorist teams talk to each other with an arab accent. There are "Lonely Tango" (Lone Wolf) and "Killing Spree" (Terrorist Hunt) options availible, along with Training missions where you hunt down Rainbow Operatives. I have played this mod and it's brilliant. The mission Pandora Prelude is bascily the run up to RS's Pandora Trigger. In this you have to capture the French Amabassdor's daughter and her friend. In Pandora's Revenge you are tasked with stopping Rainbow from getting the hostages off you. The complete reverse of Pandora Trigger. This is a very refreshing mod and I can't wait for the next set of missions.

I'm glad to see so many people enjoy my mod. I've been contacted by several people about installing/uninstalling my mod so I've repackaged the mod with an installer/uninstaller. One problem is that for the new mod to take you have to uninstall Rogue spear then delete the folder. Then you can install the new NATO*SPO 3.0 and you'll never have to uninstall Rogue Spear to get rid of the mod. There are no new weapons, I'm working on it. I would like to thank Rogue Spear.net and Rogue Spear Command for there help in putting my mod info and links on there site.
