Elian Gonzalez Mod
Deadlock has started work on a mission where you save/kidnap Elian Gonzalez. The mission has protesters, police, INS agents, the Miami relatives, and that fisherman guy (who apparently isn't a fisherman at all, but was just cooincidentally fishing for the first time that morning...). The briefings are by Janet Reno herself. I have volunteered to help him out with the skinning. Also, there may even be an alternate mission (the fisherman has a gun!) included in the mod. This looks to be a great mod so watch this space

RSOE Released but incomplete
The Re:fused team has showed up once again, to finally release the Rogue Spear Object Editor. The program is incomplete (but useable) and was released due to popular demand. Be sure to read the included readme files before using this program.

RS Stats v3.6 Patch
Gallaleo has re-released version 3.6 of his Rogue Spear stats program due to a bug that craeted a "jumpy" movement while recording in Urban Operations, which is now fixed. It is recommended that everyone who downloaded version 3.6, re-download it and re-install this updated version. Download Gallaleo's Rogue Spear Stats v3.6 (Build 3.6.01) here.

UO Map Pack
The United Mod Makers have created a UO Map Pack, which can randomly reverse the start points for all of the Urban Ops maps, instead of having to switch teams to use the other insertions. You can download the version that overwrites your old UO Maps or download the version that does not overwrite your old maps but adds to your list of map here.

2Mad Launcher v2.00
iCode Software has released version 2.00 of the 2Mad Launcher, which now features full support for Urban Operations and the ability to work better with more online services. Here a short description of what 2Mad Launcher is, here's a little clip from their web site:

The 2Mad Launcher is a utility to aid in playing Red Storm Entertainment's Rogue Spear.
The Launcher is used for Single player; Multiplayer via LAN, IP, Kali, GameSpy, The Zone and MPlayer. It also contains many other options including the ability to modify the majority of Rogue Spear's option without ever launching the game.

Paramount announced intentions to make yet another movie inspired by Tom Clancy's political techno-thrillers. The producers of The Hunt for Red October, Patriot Games and Clear and Present Danger will now produce Rainbow Six.

Rainbow Six follows the careers of John Clark and Ding Chavez, returning characters in Tom Clancy novels who first appeared on film in Clear and Present Danger. As members of an international anti-terrorist unit, they are dropped into the world's hottest zones to resolve hostage situations, bomb threats and hijackings. The story has already inspired an action shooter of the same name, produced by Red Storm. It is a natural addition to Paramount's series, with plenty of action and international intrigue to keep the audience locked and loaded. Note: The book was actually MADE AFTER the game was concieved.

Omnipotent Mods has released 2 important downloads. The first download is a promotional video of their current ongoing mod project, Operation: Overlord, which is a RS mod based on the Allied airborne invasion of Normandy in WW2. UO gaming on the Zone Rogue_Gun 7:11pm (UK time)
The Microsoft Gaming Zone has opened two rooms for Rogue Spear: Urban Operations. You can find the two Urban Ops gaming rooms by scrolling to the bottom of the page in the Zone's Rogue Spear section (hopeuflly they'll make a whole new section just for Urban Operations like they did with Eagle Watch later on)

Beware though this does just completely defeat the whole purpose of the game.

Sierra, Inc. announced today it's partnership with Red Storm Entertainment, Inc. Red Storm Entertainment, with games such as Rainbow Six, Force 21, and Rogue Spear, and Sierra, with games such as Swat 3 and the upcoming Team Fortress 2, make a likely pair.

"Red Storm has become a very successful company recently, and was the main competition of Swat 3. This purchase will allow us both to continue to make great games by combining our technology," said David Grenewetzki, President of Sierra, Inc.

"We still have intentions of carrying out our current projects, namely U.F.S. Vanguard and Freedom: First Resistance. We also have created new plans for the third title in the Rainbow Six series. This event undoubtedly will shape the game to be a combination of Rogue Spear and Swat 3," Red Storm President & CEO Doug Littlejohns stated. "Hopefully, we will be able to attract even more of the gaming community with the changes we have planned."

Is this another April Fools joke if so it sure as hell got me worried, if not then I'm very worried!
