But to win this prize, you're gonna have to know your Special Operations facts from a dead Tango. Don't fret though: If you don't know the answers, it's nothing some good 'ole research can't fix!

Sorry I was slow getting this posted but here is a press release from Red Storm Entertainment
MORRISVILLE, N.C., September 20, 1999 Red Storm Entertainment creator of the blockbuster Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six and its eagerly anticipated sequel Rogue Spear today announced a refocusing of resources, including new executive appointments, that better position the company for the upcoming holiday season and the future.

Already established as a leading developer/publisher of quality PC games, Red Storm is soon to enter the highly competitive console game market for the holiday season with the worldwide launches of Rainbow Six for the Sony Playstation and Nintendo 64. Then, next year, the company plans to double the number of titles it released in 1999 with an aggressive line-up of games for various platforms.

“In a relatively short time, we’ve made our mark in the games industry with popular and successful PC games,” said Doug Littlejohns, president and CEO of Red Storm. “Now we’re ready ‘to crank it up a notch!’ Existing and new customers will see a greater variety of game titles from us next year on more platforms. To achieve this we have been very selective in choosing only the highest quality developers both from North America and Europe to expand our title base.”

To prepare for these changes, Red Storm announced new additions to its management team, complementing its current staff of game industry veterans:

Joining Red Storm as Chief Financial Officer is Mike Oliver, who has served as executive vice president and CFO of The Hamil Organization, treasurer of Reichold Chemicals, and financial controller for Eastern Enterprises. Prior to joining Red Storm, Oliver was the CFO of Internet gaming site iEntertainment Network, based in Morrisville, N.C.

Bob Houston joins Red Storm as Vice President of Operations. Based in the company's US headquarters, he will be responsible for worldwide logistics and distribution. Houston comes to the company with 18 years of operations, distribution and logistic experience in North America and Europe with companies including Black & Decker Inc., Perstorp Flooring Inc., and Kennametal Inc.

Brad Smith was named Red Storm’s Director of National Sales in the USA. Smith previously served as distribution sales manager and sales account manager for Cary, N.C. based game developer/publisher SouthPeak Interactive.

Michael Eglington takes up the new position of UK Marketing Manager for Red Storm. Eglington previously worked as Brand Manager for Hertfordshire-based Leda Media Products, Europe’s leading manufacturer of computer and video game accessory products for the interactive entertainment market.

In addition to these new hires, Red Storm has also re-aligned some of its existing resources to better service its expanding product line and fan base. This includes increased customer support capabilities, quality assurance analysts devoted to console products, and dedicated console marketing staff.

“We want to ensure that we continue to provide top notch service for our existing customer base and bring that same level of commitment and support to our new audience,” Littlejohns added. “That means a greater variety of games available on a larger number of platforms, and the right staff in place to support them.”
